Links of the day: #1
I’m going to start posting occasional round ups of good blog posts, articles & videos I’ve come across. Some inspiration from DK for this idea, but I’m mostly motivated by the fact I’m often reading good stuff that I’d like to share, but I don’t feel I can write a whole blog post up about the single link. This will solve that problem:
DK calls out the green movement for what they (mostly) are: Thugs.
Constantly furious tells the alcohol Nazi’s to fuck off.
Ryan Faulk’s new video neatly explains the contradiction of positive freedoms.
Ryan again, this time tackling the oft-repeated “free-rider problem”.
Nice intro to the non-aggression principle from The Ultimate Minority.
Leg-Iron declares war. Although I don’t personally smoke, I’m 100% behind him.
Finally, and most shockingly, Wikileaks releases a video of US Apache helicopter shooting unarmed people, apparently released by military whistle-blowers. This video is seriously NSFW and I have to be honest, I turned it off when the shooting began. I know what the video contains as I have read hundreds of comments on various forums about it, but I just can’t stand watching people being killed. I link to it, however, for those who don’t yet know about this, and for those who might need a reminder of the ugly realities of modern, imperialistic war that get systematically suppressed by government and the mainstream media.

Cheers for the link-lurve, Davy; but my post pales into significance compared to your final link.
Someone needs to download that shit – it won’t stay long on YouTube…

Don’t worry, I understand the fear, but that footage isn’t going to be suppressed now. It’s all over the internet including the CNN front page. It was put out by wikileaks who have a good track record of breaking stuff like this. If anybody has some spare coin they are an organisation well worth supporting.
This might also be of interest to people: New York Times article about this at the time. It’s interesting to see how their report clashes with the footage.

I considered posting that WikiLeaks video this morning. It’s just too horrible to watch though.
