I pretty much ignore mainstream media as best I can, but occasionally when I’m driving I will listen to the radio, and when I do, I am bombarded by retarded government adverts. If they’re not warning you to take a rest when driving, they’re trying to scare you about the dangers of drugs. The other day I even heard one explaining the benefits of eating fruit & vegetables. None of them, however, annoy me as much as this one:

I don’t know why it irritates me so much, perhaps it’s the condescending tone, maybe it’s the complete lack of useful information, but what I really think it is is imagining the people who made this advert congratulating each other on how clever and witty they are with their smarty pants twist narrative!!! I could write 10,000 words on how stuff like this is a waste of money, an ugly misallocation of valuable resources, the signs of impending nanny-state suffocation and not even remotely useful in achieving its stated purpose, but instead I just made a parody video:

Apparently the mentally ill are discovering the site! In response to an article I wrote where I discussed how it’s a bad thing that 400 people died needlessly in one Staffordshire NHS hospital, Andy Bate chimed in:

clearly the dickheads who set up this site either are

1. clinically stupid
2. Work for a private health insurance company and want feeble minded poeple to share their view that the NHS is wrong so that they can exploit people into paying large amounts of health insurance to dodgy companies to make money. The NHS is STILL one of the crowning glories of life in the UK desopite the tragic events in Staffs. Any Govet that tries to take that away Im talking about YOU Mr Cameron may get the shock of a lifetime and turfed out of office. Here in the UK unlike in the States the health care providers are at least accountable so that the outrage there rightly is from patients who lost loved ones can at least be expressed. Try suing someone in the States for bad care and see how far you get – much like trying to tangle with Insurance companies in the UK – they exist to NOT pay out money for your care and protection thats how they make money what part of that do you not understand???

BTW : One man’s “libertarian” is another mans selfish and usually stupid person. Go Obama for trying to make America a civilised country with a helathcare system – shame on the idiots trying to stop him .

and while I’m in the groove let idiots like Daniel Hannan MEP a Tory hero continue to do down the NHS and express his unpatriotic and rabidly extreme views ideological opposition to it. Every time he opens his ludicrous mouth people may think twice about the realities of a Tory Government ripping away at years of social progress.
